Comfortable with Thick Padding
For the money, I don't think you'll find a better chair. I went with this based on the positive reviews and my familiarity with the HON brand - they've made file cabinets and desks for decades and everything I've seen from them has been well built, sturdy, and heavy duty. The chair assembles quickly and easily. A hex wrench is supplied as well as a few spare bolts. The bolts all have Loctite preapplied. The chair rolls easily, has very thick padding on both the seat and back, and is comfortable. I think it will be fine for an 8-hr long work day. The padding is firm and seems higher quality than my Ikea office chair that cost two and a half times as much. I think anyone leaving negative comments is just being unreasonable. You're not going to find a better chair than this in the same price range.

Great All Pupose Task Chair for the Vertically Challenged
I was looking for a sturdy, easily assembled, arm less chair that would fit under my desk and comfortably support my body. It has filled the bill on all points. The fabric is cool in the hot weather and there is just enough padding on the seat and back. It does need some initial break-in time for the cushion stiffness to go away but after a couple weeks of use it feels more pliable. Being both fat and short, it is hard to find a comfortable office chair. For me it works very well. Down side is that the type of fabric it is covered in catches and holds my dogs' hair. I threw a bath towel over the seat so hair wouldn't transfer as bad--problem essentially solved. I assembled it in about 15 minutes with the provided Allen wrench. Once together it is heavy so may be best to assemble as close as possible to your intended area of use.

I thought I was going to really like this chair as it has so many good reviews
I thought I was going to really like this chair as it has so many good reviews. I can only sit straight on it for about TWO minutes before my back starts to hurt. That center part of the back pushes against my back so much that it very uncomfortable to sit. I have to sit sideways on this chair to be able to use it. I like the design and the nice amount of cushion on both bottom and back, and the fact that it does not have arms. It simply comes down to the possibility of the back having a manufacturing defect as there is so much back pain to sit on this chair.

DECENT CHAIR FOR A DECENT PRICE...
For the price, I'm pretty satisfied with this office chair. It was easy to assemble and took me and my husband less than 20 minutes to put it together. It is nice and sturdy and both the plastic base and the fabric/cushions seem high quality. We've been using this for about 7 months and have had no problems whatsoever. My only complaint seems to be shared by a few other reviews here on AlumiGogo: the back cushion sits funny on the middle of my back and makes me feel like I'm being pushed forward a little bit. This can feel really uncomfortable after a few minutes for me, but it doesn't seem to bother my husband so I make him sit in it while I use our old office chair. Overall, I'm still satisfied with this purchase.

It was a fine chair for a few years then a number of months ago some of the feet started coming off. I can't really explain how feet come off the bottom of a chair while one is sitting in it, but it happens nearly every time I sit in the chair and move. I will put the foot back in and a while later it comes off, or another one does. I tried taking all of them off to use it as a stationary chair but this doesn't work because the center of the chair is higher than the legs so it doesn't actually sit flat. Totally useless now. Ok, ok, it's under a $100 so I can't expect it to be amazing forever. That's why it gets three stars instead of 2.

a durable office chair
I've been looking for a durable office chair for a while and I'm very satisfied with this purchase.
It was well packaged and it was easy to install. It took me fair amount of time, 10-15 min.
Cushion on the back and the sit is thick enough and comfortable and it's just right height for me.
Simple and easy adjustment.
Overall, I'm happy with it.

Positive Customer Service Experience
I bought this chair as a replacement for a chair which had arms and a higher back (which was more comfortable for me but had become unusable). About a month ago, the new chair began that familiar loss of hydraulics (AKA that "sinking feeling"). For laughs, I contacted HON and told them the cylinder had failed. With no questions asked (other than for my mailing info), they sent me the parts I needed to repair the chair. In the meantime, I ordered a different chair which is actually more comfortable and has arms...I missed having a chair with arms. The point is, HON honored their warranty with no trouble whatsoever, so if you're considering an OK chair with no arms...you could do worse than this one.I'll keep it around as a spare.

Works well for our need
I was looking for chairs to replace our 40+ year old dining chairs. We have an antique round table with a pedestal base in a relatively small dining area. Although we keep 4 chairs around the table, I only purchased one to see if we liked it and whether or not it would work as a replacement.
The chair is very comfortable with adequate padding and seems to be built well.
When not in use, it easily slides right up to the table, leaving more space around the table.
We already have several sets of stretch slipcovers that we'd been using on our old chairs. Most of them are the short length, so they don't interfere with the movement of the chair.
They fit on this chair and don't slide out of place because of the mesh upholstery.
Using slipcovers will allow me to change the look while protecting the upholstery.
I came back to order 3 more and lucky for me, they were marked down.
Our old chairs are very sturdy, but it would have cost us more to have some springs repaired and have them reupholstered.
We'll donate them once the other 3 chairs arrive.

Lack of Quality Control -- Hydraulic Cylinder failed in just 5 days. -- Still seeking repair/replacement.
After just 5 days of owning the chair the hydraulic cylinder failed. I tried calling Customer Support but unfortunately their call center does not accommodate those in the outer time zones in the US and was not able to reach support. This has the potential of being a good chair but a part faulting out in just 5 days does not win my favor. Hopefully they will replace the part and if so I will reconsider my rating but until such time I cannot recommend this product. A quality control team should always test multiple units of every production batch and clearly this was passed when in should not have been,

Great value. Comfortable chair.
Just unpacked this chair and it took me probably five minutes max to put it together. They give you two extra screws, I guess in case the others don't fit well, so don't be worried that you didn't put it together correctly because you have extra. Sitting in it now, I can already tell it is great for my back as I can feel the support instantly. The hydro lift (I believe that's what it's called) works perfectly. Great value. Comfortable chair. I am going to give it four stars for now and will amend it after several days if it's as good as I think it may be...
