plastice around button ripped
Was okay until the material around the button ripped when unbuttoning after only it's third use
I wasn't rough on it either. didn't yank it by the material far from button.

Very Effective Rain Protection
Wore this this past weekend while on a camping trip in the mountains where it rained for the majority of the trip. I was dry the entire time and I had enough room to move around without feeling like I was trapped or restricted. I did find that the snaps on one side came undone fairly easily but it did not create a situation where I was getting wet because of it. It was a little bit of a concern though. I will be giving this to my 12 year old son in favor of buying something that is a little bit more expensive and hopefully that stays together better. The poncho did not rip or even stretch at any point in the trip and I had it on for a significant portion of the time that I was camping.

Somewhat large - but I am 5'3" so it may be that these ponchos run large - and it will fit over my backpack.

Works great for walking the dog on rainy days. It's not as heavy duty as I expected but it's definitely not as thin as the disposable ones.

Ripped after 4-5 uses
This poncho is nice, but not as durable as I would expect from Charles River. It is very large, which is great to keep you dry. It comes with a pouch to store it in, which is a plus. However, after using it 4-5 times, it began to rip around the seem where the hood attaches to the body. This stinks because water can get in.
As for the size, my husband is 5'10" and slim, and he was able to wear the ponch with a backpack on under the poncho and it kept him very dry.
The only other problem is that this material seems a little more susceptible to mildew. It must be completely dry before it is store in its pouch or it will stink!

Meh, It works kind of
Meh, it works. doesn't go far enough down my back and goes to far down my front. Not made for a man, maybe a kid. No I will not buy again. I work outside in all weather and wanted something I could keep in my locker that would keep my dry in rain. Maybe I need a military surplus one.

Husband is happy, can't ask for much more than that.
I bought this for my husband so that, if we got caught in a Florida shower on our walks,he could stay relatively dry. He likes it because the hood stays on, it is easy to put on and it comes in a nice pouch. He isn't very tall, only 5' 10" so it comes to around his knees. His jeans get wet, as do his shoes but his head, arms and torso are protected. The poncho is easy to refold and put back in the pouch.

I purchased this poncho so I could walk to work in the rain, while the poncho covered my clothes and backpack. The buttons on the sides come undone all the time and are not convenient to re-snap while it's pouring. What's worse, the rain essentially rolls down the front of the poncho and gets dumped onto my pants in such a way that I'm more wet (even in light rain) while wearing this poncho than if I hadn't worn it.

I needed this for work because i work outside and this florida weather changes all the time. I love the fact that it comes with a travel bag that fits into my work bag. It's not heavy nor does it makes me sweet. The material fit the weather.

Sold on Charles River Apparel
This EVA poncho is an excellent value. The Cyclone poncho is a heavier weight and much better quality than expected. After having purchased another brand that was more expensive yet of significantly poorer quality I can highly recommend Charles River products and will continue to buy Charles River Apparel in the future. Dollar for dollar it is the better value.
